Purdue MEP Hits Milestone Achievement - $7 Billion in Economic Impact
CARMEL, Ind. - In pursuit of its mission to help Indiana manufacturers achieve success, Purdue Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) has reached an impressive milestone, surpassing $7 billion in economic impact for Indiana manufacturers.
“Reaching this milestone is not only an indication of a tremendous accomplishment for our Center,” comments Ranae Stewart, Senior Executive Director of Purdue MEP, “it showcases the vast success of our manufacturing clients throughout the state. This metric represents the hard work, dedication, and tireless pursuit of progress small to medium manufacturers in Indiana are achieving within their own operations.”
Since 2005, Purdue MEP has helped small to medium manufacturers in Indiana realize cost savings opportunities, operational improvements, increased sales, and investments in equipment and technology. To measure the success of client projects, Purdue MEP surveys manufacturing clients to quantify the impact these services have had on their organization. The cumulative metric is Purdue MEP’s overall economic impact.
Working to deliver on its mission, Purdue MEP continues to assist small to medium manufacturers in a variety of capacities including leadership development, lean manufacturing, quality improvement, Six Sigma, cybersecurity, and more.
