The Kroger Co.

The Kroger Co. is the largest traditional food retailer in the United States, operating nearly 2,500 food stores, many with pharmacies and fuel centers, and nearly 1,000 convenience stores. Two operating division headquarters are in Indiana, Central Division operates 99 Indiana stores and JayC Division operates nearly 40 stores in Indiana. Other Kroger divisions operate an additional 10 stores in Indiana. With more than $90 billion in sales, Kroger employs more than 349,000 associates, including 17,000 in Indiana. Kroger operates a multi-tier supply chain network with four large distribution centers in Indiana and is one of the nation's largest food manufacturers. That includes Crossroads Dairy in Indianapolis, Pace Dairy in Crawfordsville, an Indianapolis bakery and KB Specialty Foods in Greensburg, Indiana. All four supply food stores across multiple states.
