Carly is the Senior Manager of the TAP Innovation Development (InDev) program for Purdue MEP. She works to provide high-value solutions to increase productivity & profitability for Indiana businesses by facilitating access to Purdue University resources. Carly qualifies new projects, identifies available resources, evaluates whether they are eligible for an InDev grant to subsidize project costs, and assists with the application for the funds.

Background:

Carly joined Purdue University in 2014 in the MEP Center. She spent 2016-2018 at the Purdue Polytechnic Institute, identifying industry projects and internships for hands-on experiences for the college’s students.  From 2018-2025, she was with Purdue cyberTAP as Assistant Director, where she managed client relationships, oversaw curriculum development and course delivery, and the overall operations of the corporate education team.

She graduated from Purdue University in 1997 with her B.S. in Industrial Engineering. Her professional career started with i2 Technologies in User Interface Product Management for a sophisticated supply chain planner tool used to optimize the most commonly used ERP systems at the time. She then joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Chicago-based Management Consulting Practice for Supply Chain. There, she worked closely with clients to determine the best fit, as well as transition plans for rollouts of new enterprise-wide software packages.

After working as an engineer, Carly attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law and earned her J.D. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Indiana and has been a registered civil law mediator in Indiana. She practiced law for 10 years, primarily assisting corporations with entity formation and litigation defense. In 2014, she jumped at the opportunity to join her alma mater.

Carly lives in Indianapolis with her husband, where they provide a home base for their three college-aged children. She is active in the Purdue community, serving as the advisor for Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and as treasurer for the Purdue Hillel Foundation.
