Industry Advisor East

We are seeking an Industry Advisor who will meet with manufacturing leaders, listen to their challenges and propose solutions (fee based) that will address the challenges and provide improvements in the areas of cost savings, growth, leadership, technology, organizational change, and more. The Industry advisor will have performance goals for revenue, quality, and economic Impact for projects that deliver a high return for Indiana manufacturers.

Under the mentoring of the Associate Director, Client Services, this Industry Advisor will be responsible for selling and managing training and/or consulting projects that help businesses reach their workforce and competitive needs. This includes analyzing the needs of the company, determining areas of improvement, developing work statements, estimating potential Return on Investment, presenting the proposal, and executing agreements.

Workforce Development Specialist 

The Workforce Development Specialist is a subject matter expert that can deliver high-value, fee based training and implementation services to a diverse base of individuals and manufacturers in Indiana.

The Specialist will implement the necessary training to address manufacturers' workforce development needs. The position will measure the Return on Investment, report on project success, and manage the relationship with the company through the duration of the training efforts. In addition, the Specialist will be responsible for implementing transformational change through continuous improvement at manufacturers and other businesses throughout Indiana. This will include consulting and training that transforms organizations to world class performance. Success is measured by the economic impact made for the organization in retained or increased jobs, retained or increased sales, cost savings, quality improvement, capital investment and other financial measures. Projects may require oversight of additional technical staff when exceeding the capacity or expertise of the specialist.

The position will have performance metrics including, but not limited to: measurable and quantified company impact created for businesses in terms of growth, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Strict adherence to Purdue and MEP confidentiality policies is required.
