Description

This workshop is designed to increase awareness about and begin to build skills for working with diverse/multicultural employees, suppliers, and customers. It will be highly interactive, focusing on helping participants understand more about their own perspectives as well as how diversity/multicultural issues play out in groups, teams, and organizations.

 

At the completion of this workshop, participants should be able to:

 

  • Explain what diversity/multiculturalism can add to organizational success.
  • Recognize the connection between work environment and productivity.
  • Recognize some key cultural and stylistic differences.
  • Understand how cultural and stylistic differences may influence motivation & work.
  • Understand how to maximize the potential of diverse resources in a team.
  • Recognize how to keep differences from escalating into conflict.
  • Design a work environment that brings out the best in diverse individuals.
  • Develop a work environment free of sexual harassment.

Intended Audience: Appropriate for employees at all levels.
