Minitab is a powerful statistics package used for data analysis. In this one-day workshop, you'll learn the basics of Minitab Version 18 and how to graphically analyze data. During the hands-on workshop, you will work with multiple real-world data sets as you practice new skills in Minitab.

Topics covered include the following:

  • Navigating the Minitab interface
  • Working with columns and worksheets
  • Naming conventions
  • Inserting and deleting data
  • Importing and exporting data
  • Graphing distributions of data using histograms, box plots, Pareto charts, bar charts, and pie charts
  • Graphing data over time using time series plots and individuals charts
  • Graphing relationships among variables using scatterplots, main effects plots, and interaction plots
  • Process capability and performance analysis
  • Gage R&R

Intended audience: Analysts; quality managers, engineers, or auditors; Six Sigma Green Belts and Black Belts; individuals who complete continuous improvement projects using data analysis.

Prerequisites: Participants should have a basic understanding of statistics and data analysis.
