Learn how Purdue MEP can provide you with training and coaching to implement the international energy management standard ISO 50001 to reduce energy use and carbon emissions.  The purpose of the ISO 50001 Energy Management System Standard is to enable organizations to establish the systems and processes necessary to improve energy performance, including energy efficiency, use, and consumption. 



 

 

 

Participants will Learn:

 

•  The ISO 50001 standard system for energy management

 

•  How to be better prepared for future government regulations of emissions and power consumption

 

•  Implementation can lead to reductions in:
Greenhouse gas emissions
Environmental compliance impacts
Energy use and costs by 5-15% over 3 years

 

•  The system is based on the Plan – Do – Check – Act (PDCA) continual improvement framework and incorporates energy management into everyday organizational practices. 

Credits:

Workshop qualifies for 0.4 CEUs (continuing education units) through Purdue University.  If you are interested in obtaining CEUs, you will need to fill out an application form at the end of the session.
