Technical Training Design Engineer
Lynn is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of MEP’s wide range of workshops and other learning events. Her overarching goal is for MEP course offerings to be engaging and interesting and lead to tangible improvements in productivity and performance.
Lynn has over 20 years of combined engineering, technical writing, and instructional design experience. She started her career as a project engineer at Frito-Lay, Inc. and also worked as an instrumentation engineer at Eli Lilly and Company. After working as an independent consultant for nine years offering technical writing and instructional design services, Lynn joined Purdue as an instructional support coordinator in First-Year Engineering on the West Lafayette campus, where she developed course materials and coordinated course activities for almost 2000 first-year engineering students and more than 100 teaching team members. Lynn has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering as well as a master’s degree in education in learning design and technology, both from Purdue.
