This two-day internal auditor course covers the concepts of ISO 14001 and provides practical, hands-
on exercises to prepare you to interpret the standard and perform internal process audits of an
environmental management system (EMS).

The auditing methods taught in this course are based on the ISO guidelines for auditing: ISO 19011.
You’ll even get to practice your new process-auditing skills by role plays involving real-life 19011 case
studies, and at the end of the second day, you’ll receive a course certificate.

• ISO 14001 elements and standards
• What an auditor needs to determine
• Details of the audit process
• Measures for implementing corrective action
• Structured steps for conducting an audit


Credits:
Workshop qualifies for 1.6 CEUs (continuing education units) through Purdue University. There is a $15 processing fee to obtain your CEU transcript record. If you are interested in obtaining CEUs, you can prepay at registration or request an application form at the end of the session. Workshop also qualifies for 16 PDHs (professional development hours) through the Indiana State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. You will be given a Certificate of Attendance to submit to the Board for these credits.
