Industry Consultant - Polymers
The MEP Industry Consultant is a subject matter expert who can develop, sell and deliver high-value executive coaching and mentoring, fee-based training, and implementation services focused on a primary manufacturing industry. Sell and deliver services to other industries to help the Center reach a diverse base of businesses in Indiana. Industry Consultants focus primarily upon specific manufacturing needs that are of high value to their clusters. The decision making and skill sets require that the consultant is networked and aligned with local manufacturing trade organizations or economic initiatives. Must be capable of interpreting and activating services relevant to industry needs and executing at the company level. These projects are impactful and will be served via MEP capabilities or other partnering service providers. Industry Consultants report to the Associate Director of Client Services (Business Development) and will have revenue, impact, service development metrics that are tracked and measured.

Manufacturing Business Development Consultant
The Manufacturing Business Development Consultant will manage the Defense Manufacturing Assistant Program by overseeing the budget and reporting, coordinating sales and outreach to defense manufacturers, and delivery of market and product assessments / consulting services. Responsible for supporting the MEP Center by developing and managing a Product Diversification and Market Growth business practice that engages university faculty, internal / external technical specialists, and subcontractors. This practice will deliver exceptional value into the manufacturing sector through implementation of technology projects involving product development, manufacturing methods, materials or equipment. The consultant must consistently and vigorously engage the Indiana manufacturing community at the OEM level and / or targeted Tier 1-4 levels to secure impactful technical projects are carried out by Purdue in a contractual agreement with the company.
